In this module, Lindsay explains the difference between a venue that provides in-house services versus a venue that is completely open concept. You’ll be able to see the pros and cons of each and determine what model works best for your business.
Module 3 breaks down the financial aspects of your venue - from securing funding to how to maintain profitability. This module contains a video lesson where Lindsay teaches you to properly prepare yourself to request funding, what information will banks/an investor want to know, how to gather it, how to prepare it, and what paperwork to have on hand for your meeting with a loan officer. This module also includes a downloadable Profit Planner Spreadsheet.
Module 4 is all about your contract. This module will walk you through the primary clauses your rental agreement needs and the number one thing that all venue rental agreements are missing.
In Module 5, you’ll walk through a lot of different examples of policies and procedures and learn what should be included in yours. You also learn where and when you should present these to your client and how to enforce them gracefully. This module also includes an example PDF of Policies and Procedures.
Your Client Relationship Management System, or CRM, is often described as your business’s backbone. Module 6 has 13 lessons that cover the top two CRM systems that Lindsay recommends for venue owners. These lessons will walk you through how to set up, customize, and run your chosen CRM system.

Module 10 includes 3 videos that walk you through how to recognize when it’s time to grow your team, Lindsay’s suggested hiring process for venues, and how to lead your team well. Module 11 provides you with 3 necessary documents and checklists to prepare and execute successful events at your venue: A Pre-Event Checklist, A Post- Event Checklist, and an Incident Report.
Module 12 explains the different review platforms pros and cons, Lindsay’s favorite platform for obtaining reviews and why, tips for requesting reviews, and most importantly best practices for responding to positive and negative reviews. It also includes Email Templates on requesting and responding to reviews.
