Module 1 — Getting Started

We’ll strip back the overwhelm and tell you where to start, beginning with generating the right idea for your first online course. You’ll learn to do market research and validate your course idea to make sure there’s an audience eager to learn from you, and then decide on the best mode of delivery.

‍By the end of this module you will have nailed down your course idea and determined its price point.

Module 2 — Developing Your Content

It’s time to take that big idea and turn it into a course outline to create the optimal learning experience for students. We’ll step you through the process of structuring your content and getting it ready to film. We’ll also lay the foundation of your course brand to determine how you want your course to look.

‍By the end of this module you will be ready to record your online course, and you will have named it!

Module 3 — Recording and Editing

Whether you want to record and edit your course yourself, or outsource it to a team—we’ll show you how. First we’ll establish each piece of equipment you need and how to set it up, and then we’ll make sure you have all of your hard drives ready for storing and editing your recorded footage. With all of the ground work done, you’ll be ready to hit record!

‍By the end of this module you will have recorded and edited your online course.

Module 4 — Getting Ready to Launch

Next up we’ll finalize the brand identity for your online course and create visually-engaging imagery to use in all of your marketing materials. You’ll also decide on the right platform to host your online course.

‍By the end of this module you will have designed your course cover and marketing graphics, and set up your course hosting platform.

Module 5 — A Guide to Marketing Your Course

Before you start marketing your course you first need to schedule your launch and understand sales funnels, all of which we’ll tackle in two simple videos.

By the end of this module you will have scheduled your launch to suit your audience, determined the marketing tools to use, and developed all of the key sales language to sell your course.

Module 6 — Launch Strategy Phase 1

It’s time to start building an audience to sell your online course to and we’re going to use email marketing to make that simple! Whether you’re starting from zero email subscribers or an established list, we’ll cover everything you need to know including the tech, logistics and knowing what content to send in your emails.

‍By the end of this module you will be set up with the best CRM and marketing platform to suit your needs and have started building an email list of engaged followers eager to learn from you.

Module 7 — Launch Strategy Phase 2

Let’s get you set to sell. A webinar will be your number one sales tool and we’re going to help you write and host a high-converting webinar. We’ll cover why a webinar works and how to use it, the topics that generate the most interest from followers, and how to get people interested.

‍By the end of this module you will have set up your webinar hosting platform, generated and scheduled emails to drive webinar sign-ups, and prepared the script you’ll use to sell your course to your audience.

Module 8 — Launch Strategy Phases 3 & 4

You need somewhere for people to learn more about your course and buy it, so it’s time to build your course website and sales page. We’ll share the exact template If I Made uses to sell all of our online courses. We’ll also complete the file step in the sales funnel to sell your online course.

‍By the end of this module you will have created the website to sell your course and prepared and scheduled the last of your email templates to convert your engaged followers to buyers.

Module 9 — Paid Marketing

We’ll teach you how to launch your course without paying for any marketing. But if you have the budget and can afford to invest in some advertising, we’ll show you step-by-step how to do it and succeed with marketing budgets from $250.

By the end of this module you will have installed a pixel to help retarget potential customers through advertising and set up your own Instagram and Facebook ads.

Module 10 — The Customer Experience

You’ve created your course and have all of your marketing materials for launch scheduled and ready to go! The last thing we want to do is make sure you’re prepared for all possible customer service scenarios so we’re going to cover policies and procedures, managing payments, and payment plans.

‍By the end of this module you will be able to answer every customer service question we’ve ever received in 4+ years of selling online courses AND you’ll be ready to go live and launch your online course!
