A business plan is a vital tool to aid you in managing your business more effectively. In this module, Lindsay breaks down what you need to do before writing your business plan and everything your plan should include.
In this module Lindsay explains the difference between a venue that provides in-house services versus a venue that is completely open concept. You’ll be able to see the pros and cons of each and determine what model works best for your business… one or the other or a combination of both.
Module 7 breaks down the financial aspects of your venue - from securing funding to how to maintain profitability. You’ll learn to properly prepare yourself to request funding, what information will banks/an investor want to know, how to gather it, how to prepare it, and what paperwork to have on hand for your meeting with a loan officer. And once you’ve secured funding, Lindsay tells you how to allocate the funds for the building or renovation phases, how to hire staff and support salaries, and how to price your venue rentals to maintain profitability.
Module 8 is all about your contract. This module will walk you through the primary clauses your rental agreement needs and the number one thing that all venue rental agreements are missing.
In Module 9, you’ll walk through a lot of different examples of policies and procedures and learn what should be included in yours. You also learn where and when you should present these to your client and how to enforce them gracefully.
